Nico's Weg-Review

 Hello! Guten Abend (Good evening).

So for today, I'm back to review a really interesting film titled "Nico's Weg". Like the title, the film itself telling story about Nico, who came from Spain to German lost his bag that contains all of his important stuff such as pasport, his relative's address, etc. He lost his bag because he is too absorbed in playing bubbles with a little girl named Emma in airport. Nico who had no knowledge of Deutsch language clearly struggled to get back his bag. However, the journey to get his bag is helped by Emma and Lisa (Emma's aunt). Lisa and Emma were so kind to him, they were willing to help him by reporting the lost of his bag to the police, gave him place to stay while he was in Germany, and even helped him learn Deutsch. He had a long journey until he could find his bag and his belongings.

Me myself can admit that it was so scary to be in Nico's shoes. Imagine that you got lost in a foreign country with a foreign language that you can't speak of. It was lucky of him that he was able to find a good people like Lisa and Emma instead of criminal in street. In short, the story itself is kind of simple but it was expected as it was designed to help people learn Deutsch. I think this film succeed to fulfill its purpose to help people learn. Cause in the film Deutsch is a foreign language for Nico but he was able to overstepped his obstacle and learn Deutsch on his journey. And that also help me as a viewer in a way to understand Deutsch from a really simple conversation. This movie also get me used to listen Native German speak, and their pronounciation. It was easy for me to understand the meaning of the conversation in the beginning of the film, but as it was getting near an end it is gradually getting harder and I had to pause for a while to search for the word's translation.

In short,  it was a good experience for me to be able to see a film spoken in Deutsch. I am looking forward for the next journey in learning.

Thank you~
